Board of Directors & Sections

Emballageretur is organized into a board and eight sections, which together represent member companies across industries. The structure ensures both strategic leadership and professional anchoring in the work with producer responsibility for packaging.

SECTIONS

Emballageretur’s members are organized into eight sections, reflecting different industries and packaging flows.

The section management looks after the interests of the section members in relation to Emballageretur and helps to set the framework for the section’s direction and finances. Each section must be financially self-sufficient, and separate accounts are kept for the individual sections.

A section management holds 2 annual meetings, where the accounts are reviewed, and Emballageretur informs about relevant matters, just as the section management provides Emballageretur with input on behalf of the section’s members.

The Retur Family

Retur is a family of non-profit Producer Responsibility Organisations managing the producer responsibility for electronics, batteries, packaging, and textiles on behalf of importers and producers.

Producer responsibility

As a member of one or more of Retur’s Producer Responsibility Organisations (PRO), you benefit from our nearly 20 years of experience and extensive knowledge of producer responsibility management.

We do more than just help you manage your producer responsibility in Denmark. Our ownership and membership of Pronexa helps us offer you a way to handle your producer responsibility in the EU, Norway, Switzerland, and the UK.

Retur’s PRO are among the most cost-effective PRO's in the EU, and through us you are guaranteed legitimate waste flows and reliable ESG data.

Commitment

Recycling and reuse are an integral part of our organisation and daily work.

Together with the members of our Producer Responsibility Organisations – Elretur, Emballageretur, Batteriretur, and Tekstilretur – Retur works to lift as many materials as possible out of the waste stream through recycling and reuse.

Our efforts and those of our members contribute to several of the UN Sustainable Development Goals – especially no. 11, 12, and 14.
